French

All Saints Church School intends all of our pupils to learn French and have exposure to other languages. We aim to bring diversity to our children through learning foreign languages and experiencing a variety of cultural traditions. We use the Language Angels scheme of work and resources to ensure we offer a relevant, broad, vibrant and ambitious foreign languages curriculum that will inspire and excite our pupils using a wide variety of topics and themes. Our ultimate aim being that pupils will feel willing and able to continue studying languages beyond key stage 2.

At All Saints, we enrich our French studies with school-wide celebration days, such as Fancy French Phrase Day, where we dressed in red, white and blue, tried French food, learned some new vocabulary and took part in various activities, such as building the Eiffel Tower and opening a French Boulangerie! Or Europe Day, where each class chose a country participating in the Eurovision Song Contest to find out about. Everyone learned about their countries and their languages.
