Music Ambassadors

Our Music ambassadors are a small group of children who act as passionate advocates for the power of music in our lives. They help to promote a range of classical, contemporary and popular music across the school. They listen and encourage children to feel confident about creating and performing music. The Music Ambassadors regularly meet with Mrs Roberts the Music lead, to discuss and share new ideas and plan musical events during the year.

"Music is part of our lives and in our school community. It brings joy and happiness and can bring friends and communities together.” Bethany

“I’ve always liked music since I was about five years old. I think music can warm up the body and mind. I want to show people how much fun it can be.” Merrie

“I like how we don’t have to always have to use electronics to listen to music we can make it ourselves. I play the piano. It makes me feel relaxed.” Ben

For the last two years, the Music Ambassadors have promoted the Eurovision song contest. They felt it was important to celebrate the diversity of music across the continent and how it can help to unite us. This year, Eurovision linked with a whole school ‘Europe Day’. Making curricular connections with other subjects such as Geography, Art and languages.
