Start of the Day

The school gate opens at 8:30am, with registration from 8.45am.

From 7:30am our Breakfast Club is open to families who wish to use this facility - see Wrap Around Care for more information. At 8:40am those children attending Breakfast Club walk to the playground, escorted by an adult, and line up outside their classroom.  Those children arriving by bus, also walk around to the playground and line up outside their classroom.

The school day starts at 8:45am.  Children are welcomed into class by a member of staff.  Registration closes at 9:10am.

Please aim to be punctual, it is important that every child is ready for lessons on time.  Lateness will be marked in the register.  We shall, of course, understand when circumstances conspire to make you late. On occasions when children are late, they should enter the school via the school reception where a member of the office staff will greet you. 

Pedestrian Access and Car Parking

There is pedestrian access via gates to both the entrance and the exit of the school access road.  We have limited parking available on our school site, this includes a disabled bay for those who have a permit.  There are also spaces for those parents who choose to drop and go.  The school entrance gate is locked at 9:30am for security reasons and is unlocked just before the end of the school day. 

We ask that all visitors to our school park respectfully and consider our neighbours when using roads within the vicinity of the school.

Cycle and scooter racks are available for children to use and are located outside the school hall.  Children are asked not to ride their bikes or scooters on the school site.

End of the Day

Our school day ends at 3:15pm.  Parents or other persons collecting children are asked to arrive as near to then as possible.  Parents are asked to wait on the playground area for classes 1 - 6, and for Acorn children’s parents can wait outside the gated area adjoining the Acorn play area. Gates to the playground area are opened at 3:10pm. Children will be brought out onto the playground by a member of our school staff.

For those children going home on a school bus, children meet in the school hall at 3:10pm so that a register can be taken. Once the registers are taken and all children accounted for, adults lead the children to the bus stop.  

Children must not leave the school playground without an appropriate adult unless parents have signed a consent form for them to walk home.
